What materials are used in your Milk Bottle Holders?
— We use sustainable Scandinavian redwood, with finishes using teak stain and Danish Oil.
— Insulation liners: aluminium foil / thermo bubble liner, or PIR Celotex insulation.
What sizes/dimensions are your Milk boxes?
— Outside: 36 cm (W) × 28 cm (D) × 33 cm (H) for Large Milk Box (25cm (W) x 22.5cm (D) x 33cm (H) for Small Milk Box)
— Inside dimensions vary by insulation type (with cooler bag, or PIR insulation) Please see Shop catalog
Is the insulation removable / washable?
— Yes, much of the insulation is removable for cleaning or to use without it if desired.
Will it keep contents cool in summer / prevent freezing in winter?
— Yes, the insulation helps buffer against external temperature changes. For very high heat you may wish to pre-chill with ice packs.
— Likewise in extreme cold, insulation helps prevent freezing.

How do I clean the Milk Box / interior / insulation?
— We recommend wiping down the wood, removing insulation for cleaning whilst avoiding harsh chemicals.
How often should I maintain / reseal / re-oil the wood?
— We advise on periodic treatment of wood surface using 'Rustins Danish Oil' to preserve appearance and durability.

— Because it’s handmade, variations in wood grain, knots, stain, etc. are expected. Whilst we try to eliminate wood movement, the chance is still there as it is made from natural materials
How long will it last / what is the expected lifespan?
— Based on the materials/care and with proper maintenance/treatment, many many years.
